Possibilities of revert to old Nokia.

It's pointless to saying these kind of things now. But I will just write it for record. So I will just write some steps only, not details.

Let people make aware of Nokia was back.

Workers in the company sue Board-of-directors and Stephen Elop and others who intentionally plan to sell Nokia (with bargain price, more specifically a penny).

Workers didn't plan to join Microsoft, they were joined for Nokia which means include Symbian.

Actually, it wasn't important step but this can make people to aware about the Nokia.

Other stunt which related to next step, is Nokia should trying to buy HTC.

I will explain why.

Nokia should make Symbian handset. But not only that.

Nokia should make devices for Symbian and Meego again. And Android, too.

But that's not all. Even make Windows phone. Why not?

HTC doing that. Samsung doing that. LG doing that. So why not?

And Symbian and Meego is open source and open platform(I know there has some issues but still..) and Android is open source and open platform.

So what's the problem with make all the open platform, right?

And one good thing is that Stephen Elop made Nokia to OEM Nokia manufacturer–This is why Microsoft can buy Nokia for a penny. You can read details here: Conspiracy is just conspiracy. Are you sure? @ September 6, 2019

So Nokia has really advantage for this step.

Nokia already became OEM manufacturer so why not buy other similar company like HTC, right?

And if Nokia tries to buy HTC, people will aware that Nokia is back.

Of course, meanwhile Nokia should support Symbian and Meego to grow.

Symbian and Meego are open platform so they should open for other handset maker.

Symbian did that last time but Nokia was dominated whole Symbian market so Symbian doesn't need other handset maker.

Now it changed everything. So this is the time that Symbian and Meego can go their own and open the platform to all the handset maker.

Whether you believe it or not. Symbian(and Meego) still has their own strength.

I wrote this article about three years ago. And I've played with newer version of Android.

And it reminds me that I can't use Android phone as my primary phone after two years of upgraded Android OS. Because what I've mention in the article.

My phone is Nokia N8 and I didn't upgrad it to Belle which is newer version OS because I am satisfying with not-so-newer-OS.

You can read it here: Nokia could do far better with their customer. (Part 1 of ..) @ February 12, 2011

This is a good thing to customers, too. Because people can have variety of choices for open platform.

Diversity is a good thing in human society. That's what I believe.

I know…

there has so many issues and it's too late.

I can see Android platform has huge potential but interesting thing is Symbian and Meego, too.

Because I believe majority of people can't be a geek. And even if it did, it doesn't matter because people don't want to wasting time playing with the phone.

P.S. Nokia released Android phone with Lumia 520 hardware.

Conspiracy is just conspiracy. Are you sure?

This is proving fact for what I wrote a few years back at http://aboutnokia.tumblr.com/

Microsoft bought Nokia with €5.44 billion which some people-who like Symbian and some of Finnish people-already guessed this will happen when the formal Microsoft CEO, Stephen Elop joined company.

beauty of curves

beauty of curves

It was so beautiful flower that I had to upload.
Interestingly most of my photos aren't flower but I am uploading at first.

I don't know anything about the flower but it was kind of favourite subject for taking photos, especially with my phone camera.

– photo taken with Nokia 5800 xpressmusic
– photo edited with open source image editor software(like photoshop) Gimp:adjust color level and color enhancing

That's why Nokia was far more useful than iPhone.

I saw a photo from mobypicture.com.
Here is the one:

photo taken from Rick Bayless’s mobypicture

It doesn't look that nice. I mean I don't think I will go to eat that one. Because it doesn't look tasty.

That photo uploaded from Twittelator Pro – iPhone App so it probably taken with iPhone.

So here is mine that taken with Nokia 5800 XpressMusic.

It was side dish for drinking beer.
But I am sure that this one looks tastier than above one.

I didn't edit anything from that photo. Because I don't even know how to use Photoshop program.

If you want to showing the photo about your work, I really would suggest to use Nokia phone.

Cherry blossom in Sinchungyo, Daegu – comparison shot for Nokia N97 mini vs. Motorola Milestone

Nokia N97 mini has 5 Megapixel with Carl Zeiss optics and autofocus and dual LED flash.
Milestone has 5 Megapixel with autofocus and dual LED flash.
So Carl Zeiss optics was only different thing.
But you can so easily find the differences from the photo.

It was late afternoon so Milestone probably couldn’t get the enough light.

Nokia could do far better with their customer. (Part 1 of ..)

I wrote this for Nokia Corporation so if you don't know anything about Nokia phone, I wouldn't suggest to read.

My intention in this paper wasn't arguing about which smartphone was better. I am just saying that people using the phone differently.

People using the phone on their needs. And each person need different things. So people will buying the phone for what they need.
So that's why there have variety types of phone out there.
But people tend to compare different product so easily.

And geek was too much concern on technology thing only so I am pointing out that they didn't much care about real life usage of smartphone.

So I believe that Symbian powered Nokia smartphone was so much underestimate their potential because Nokia Symbian smartphone could be more useful in real life.

I haven't found better way to put my document file to the blog so I just uploaded via scribd.com.
And I will talk more about it in here.

What Nokia N8's video recording makes so special?

I have written many things in my Korean blog and then I thought about doing the video podcasting.
But I didn't have video camera so I have search for the advice from the web.

Importance of audio

Here is what I found:

Selecting The Right Video Camera For Your Video Podcast @ October 28, 2006 By Scott Bourne
No matter how good your camera is, no matter how pretty you are, no matter how great your script, it's the audio that will make or break your video podcast.

Quite surprising, isn't it?

Ask.MetaFilter.com's Chamunks @ May 5, 2007 ask the question about video camera for podcast and jpmack answered it with importance of audio.
Here is what he said:
For video podcasting, video quality is not a big issue, audio is.

MacMost Now 121: Video Podcasting Secrets by Gary Rosenzweig @ August 15, 2008 He makes a few suggestions and one of them is "Use a good mic".
And Daniel commented in this article that
Get a Good MiCROPHONE! Even the coolest shows can be hard to hear sometimes.

But not many people recognized that audio is important. Becuase if people knew about this, people must know about benefit of Nokia N8's two mics.

People tend to believe rapid improvement on technology so these old findings weren't that important.
And not many people are doing the video podcast so people don't think it was really important.

But professional podcaster or cameraman must know this. That's why I found that kind of findings from the web.

One of my secret ingredient for speech.

Whenever I gave a speech for group of people, one of thing that help me to succeed speech is a very loud voice. So the audience can hear clearly what I am saying.
I know there has many other factors, too.

Let's think about it this way. If you gave very good speech but some of the people in group couldn't hear what you were saying, it was pointless, wasn't it?

So when I gave speech, I was trying to raise my voice. But recording the video will decrease volume of my voice and then I can get just acceptable volume in youtube video.

Here is link of my youtube video. It was Korean language. But you can still hear the volume of my voice.

Nokia N8's two mics make so different than any other.

Here is video from BesteProduct.

Nokia N8 vs iPhone 4 video test

I am not going to talk about here for video quality because 720p HD video was quite good enough for web video or casual use.

But you can certainly notice the audio. Nokia N8 have front and back microphone so it really helped what people were saying in the video. (It wasn't English so I couldn't understand though.)

Jay Montano also said
Compared to Nokia N8, iPhone 4 audio recording is absolutely PANTS.

about this video in Video: Split Screen Nokia N8 versus iPhone 4 video (and audio) test @ October 7, 2010

In that article, ruhtinas was linked good example of audio quality from ilmojk‘s youtube video.

Nokia N8 HD Skädäm-Katujen kuningatar

Here is one more good example.

Nokia N8 Camera test – U2 Roma 10.2010

In entrambi i casi non abbiamo utilizzato nessuna patch che porti foto a massima qualità o video a 30FPS.
[google translated: In both cases we did not use any patches that bring the highest quality photos or videos at 30FPS.]
It means audio wasn't edited, I think.

Last two videos were low light or night recording so video quality wasn't that great but audio makes video more watchable and enjoyable.

So Nokia N8's two microphones make so special in video recording.
This is the reason I could say Nokia N8 was exceptional. I haven't even hands on N8 though.

Does Nokia really know their strength?

When I know about Nokia N8 has 2 microphones, I was surprised that Nokia really knows about what is really important in video recording.

Because when I researched about video podcast for digital video camcorder, number one advice is that must get the good audio. That’s what all they saying because most of device’s video quality is good enough for web video.

This is Nokia N8 vs iPhone 4 video test which you will recognize about audio.

[via BesteProduct]

Nokia N8's audio makes totally different so audio makes exceptional. But does Nokia know about this?

Nokia made totally awesome product but marketing department doesn’t know what to do with it?
