This is why Wikidpad has so much potential in it.

WikidPad - wiki notebook for Windows/Linux/Mac OS http://wikidpad.sourceforge.net/

wikidPad is a Wiki-like notebook for storing your thoughts, ideas, todo lists, contacts, or anything else you can think of to write down.

What makes wikidPad different from other notepad applications is the ease with which you can cross-link your information. Links in a wiki are created by typing in WikiWords.

Donationcoder forum's user CWuestefeld explained about Wikidpad http://www.donationcoder.com/forum/index.php?PHPSESSID=1kppjej0pqm1ov2flckeqqjan2&topic=12062.msg99469#msg99469 @ January 31, 2008

I would suggest to read from the link.

These are the quotes from CWuestefeld:
"... its parent. But a wiki allows any node (page) that relates to another to offer a link to it, leading eventually to a very densely packed structure."

"if you're consistent about the way you name things in a wiki, you'll find that the interconnectedness arises all on its own. You don't need to intentionally create a link; the link manifests itself based on the usage of similar terms."

"It's very gratifying when working in a wiki to discover that you've already done something that you forgot about. As you're describing a related concept leading up to another page, you find that the link is already populated; simply by thinking descriptively and consistently, you've created a knowledge web that not only holds together, but reinforces itself."

When I read about it, I also understand why wikipedia made whole different internet-era.

It's an idea that matters most. Isn't it?

You are glad to limit your imagination!?

You shouldn't limit your imagination. But you are happy to limit your imagination to 3.5 to 10 inch iPhone, smartphone or tabletPC screen.

springpad.com will shutdown.

This is what I wrote to my twitter account.

#Springpad http://bit.ly/1lQG5LO Interesting idea and it could better. But painful to use & horribly slow. Managing the text is that hard?!

If you'd like to know what I mean, you can simply install #Ted text editor in #playstore. And then run it. & run the #Springpad. compare it.

They had some interesting ideas and it went well.

But they took same mistake path like poor performance in fundamentally important thing. However you try to change, Springpad.com is basically text editor. So if it lose competency in fundamental thing, people won't try to use it much.

It means company will lose their customers.

Many gadget lovers are living in their own small world.

What a ridiculous idea. If I'm not doing in wedding photography, I am not a professional photographer?

Get out of your narrow-minded world.
He or she was talking like looking down photographers who don't use mention the product. People use product their needs, not by your choice.

No wonder there has movie call the 'The Matrix'.

Unfortunate happen in human society…farewell to the isoHunt.com

Unfortunate happen in human society. So I should say #farewell to the #isoHunt. http://bit.ly/16A4wcR (this link is wikipedia article of isoHunt) #p2pSearchEngine #BitTorrent

Why? Because Knowledge became more powerful than ever in digital age which develop more and more society divided issues. #moneymakesmoney

These lawsuit will bring down these things and poor people will never get chance to improve themselves. Who cares about poor people, right?

This is the reason internet is the future and it will bring equality to human society.

Public domain, open source project, creative commons, etc. These kind of things I will talk about here, too.

That's what I believe.

Here May Clipart Be Used Comparison – Openclipart

Their cliparts which were made by people who believe in public domain, are all freely use.

This is how I learn things from internet.

North Pole scenery (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

I was quite curious about what timezone would apply in North and South Pole. So I found these two article:

And then I found interesting youtube video which is webcam from North Pole.
North Pole Web Cam 2011 – YouTube by NOAAPMEL

I've seen youtube video and then I thought ‘What this is for?' so I've searched more about it. Actually, you can read about purpose of put it in the youtube from that video.

This is homepage for that youtube video: NOAA Arctic Theme Page – A Comprehensive Arctic Resource http://www.arctic.noaa.gov/

And I didn't read whole part but I found quite interesting and informative article: What has been happening to polar bears in recent decades? http://www.arctic.noaa.gov/essay_schliebe.html by Scott L. Schliebe

Do you think you can find this information without internet? Maybe.
But I am Korean and I am sure that I can't find this kind of information about 20 or 30 years ago when there hasn't internet. Because very less (or none) Koreans went to North Pole. So how can I find (and contact with) these Koreans. So it's almost impossible.

This is one of reason that I believe internet will change humans and human society for good.

ps. I've forgotten to mention about beginning of this curiosity. When I googled with 'what time is it in North Pole and South Pole' and then I found a bit weird answer. That's how I start.

Rome was just made up within one day?

It was an issue so I thought about to write at my tumblr What really Nokia need.
But this post's main theme was important for this blog, too. So I will write it here.

Desarrolladores-meego

There have too many speculation about MeeGo. Why?

MeeGo was merge project from Nokia's Maemo project and Intel's Moblin project. I know it was already progress a lots but it still need a lot of time.
And open source project can't just get good result like FireFox project or OpenOffice project within one year. It will take much of time.

I found that OpenOffice project was starting around July 2000 which Sun's StarOffice source code was released. So how long does it take to the commercial stage?

MeeGo was starting around in this February or later. MeeGo's welcome post was Welcome to MeeGo @ February 15, 2010 by Imad.
So it was just 6 or 7 month in development and people are crying and crying (especially who?) about Nokia wasn't release the MeeGo device.

So this very reason Nokia will not officially support MeeGo to N900 because commercial device can't support to "Beta stage's operating system". It's that simple.

MeeGo's official blog was posted this: MeeGo calling – on N900 @ October 13, 2010 by Harri Hakulinen.
I haven't read whole thing but I noticed that MeeGo was open source project so if many people join and want to do something, MeeGo will support it. Because that's what open source is all about.
But I don't think people notice about it. That's why some people thought that MeeGo official blog says MeeGo will support N900 which means Nokia must support officially N900 on MeeGo.

So some people asked to Nokia whether Nokia N900 will support MeeGo.

Here is what I've got tweet from @thenokiablog
UPDATED: Nokia N900 dual boot will not be an option to consumers http://nokb.ly/wz
about 20 hours ago via Echofon

That tweet's link is this: Nokia N900 PR 1.3 Update Coming Soon With Dual Boot to Meego @ October 13, 2010 by Mark Guim

Don't confuse about this, please.

I am not saying it was people's fault. I am saying Nokia didn't properly telling to the people about MeeGo. That's what this all kind of rubbish speculation was came out.

What if Nokia was telling people like this "commercial product can't sell with Beta Stage of Operating System like MeeGo" and other things like "open source project usually takes a time for out of beta stage".
Don't you think people will understand better?

amazon.com moving forward in the gadget business

When I was trying to check the amazon.com's homepage, I saw the letter from the CEO for restocked the Kindle which is wireless reading device.

If you know how unusual that amazon.com put the CEO's letter in the their very first page. Have a look at this.
Picture taken from http://www.amazon.com/ at 2:15 29th April 2008.

If you think it is just digital gadget such as smartphone and iPhone, you should better think about it again.
Because, device was not the issues here.

What this letter mentioned is that they added 25,000 additional books, blogs, magazines, and newspapers which bringing the total to more than 115,000. A hundred fifteen thousands.
I will just briefly tell you about the history of ebook viewer. Almost none of portable gadget succeed in the market, before E-ink came out. E ink screen is most comfortable for human eyes-I haven't seen it yet but a lot of people talked about that way.- and feel like paper because it is one of electronic paper technology.
So it is possible technology to make new big market.

Whenever I thought about it, I felt that amazon.com was just online version of bookstore. I know their main business was not selling the book any more so they became online shopping mall long time ago.
So they don't have to sell the actual books in the future because they can sell the ebook.

I know it still need a lot of time but it will happen someday.

p.s. I skipped a lot of details so some day I will write more about it.
