Asphalt 8: seventh tryout challenge list for the Enduro Double Down - Aston Martin One-77

I'm writing this for
  • trying to figure out the difficulty increase,
  • this can apply any EDD (Enduro Double Down) challenge because game style is quite same as previous challenge--Weber Faster One.
  • So you can do it well on next EDD challenge.

You can check out my previous tryout:

- After Second EDD invitaion challenge list, I included my collected points, spent tokens and car upgrade status. Fourth, fifth and sixth EDD tryout have some screenshots of challenge.

Seventh EDD(Enduro Double Down) invitation.

I will just simply write down like involved car, map, requirement. And then if there has recommended car rank, I selected that challenge.
And I will write down ghost racer(AI car)'s finish time.
So I can figure out how difficult it became with this recommended car rank and ghost racer's finish time.

Collected points:
  • Previously collected 25,305 points.
  • Saved point at challenge 12. And failed at challenge 14.
  • Total: 27,935

Spent tokens:

Car status:
  • Aston Martin One-77 upgrade status: R1638 (max 2322, pro 5253)
  • fully maxed and proed it--Aston Martin V12 Vantage, Lucra L148, Pagani Huayra
  • I don't get any more challenge from these fully upgraded cars: AC 378 GT Z, Aston Martin DB9 CoupĂ©, Aston Martin V12 Zagato
  • Bentley EXP10 Speed 6 upgrade status: R1541 from previous R1526 (max 1111, pro 2122)
  • Peugeot Onyx: none

Extra Tank on the car. And if it is ace race, I put the triple booster-Nitro Starter+Tuning Kit+Extra Tank.

My strategy for the upgrades

Previous--sixth tryout became difficult because I collected more than 20,000 points. So now I know what to expect. Because this ace race difficulty will stay same. So now I can decide whether how much more upgrade to defeat the ace race.

Quoted from sixth tryout:
My point is 25,305. So I need 35,000 points to make 60,000 points.
It still remained 6 days. And 3 EDD invitations per day. So 18 EDD invitations to collect 35,000 points.
So if I can get about 1,945 points per EDD invitations, I can win the car.

But actually, next tryout, I did upgrade the car. Because I realised that it will be very hard to beat challenge 12--which will give around 2,610 points with car rank 1618 (max 2322, pro 3253).
Until challenge 7, I will get 1,160 points only. So it wasn't enough for 1,945 points.

So I needed to do until challenge 12. So with 1618 rank, I must use triple booster--that means very expensive because Extra Tank costs 200 tokens.

I know I can win the car. That means I will upgrade it, eventually. So it is better to upgrade now so I can save boosters.
Double booster--Nitro Starter and Tuning Kit isn't expensive but if I kept using it, it will be expensive.
Until this tryout, I probably spend more than 10 that means 175,000 credits. So it is better upgrade more.

Extra Tank is slight different reason, quoted from second tryout:
Previous Weber Faster One EDD, I made mistake almost every time. That made me quite crazy--I probably spend more than 1,300 tokens--problem is I failed on easy task many times.
So this time, I was on Extra Tank almost all the time until yesterday's one--12th EDD invitation.

* As you can see the screenshot, recommended car rank is 1285 but AI car was higher rank than 1285.

Challenge 7. Ace race. Dragon Tree, recommended car rank 1612, AI finished at 1:13:986

I wrote about it--Asphalt 8 EDD(Enduro Double Down), It's harder than what people are saying.
and I thought I can do it without booster because I was about 26 higher rank than recommended rank.
But I failed:
I know I made mistake, this time I didn't crash to the structure.
Because last time--my very first try in EDD, I did crash the car and failed it.
So I spent 250 tokens--'Auto-Pass'.

Without booster, I can do it (but very hard so need upgrade it more) but I still wasn't familiar with handling this new car--Aston Martin One-77.

Challenge 8.
  • Bentley EXP10 Speed 6, French Guiana, Unplugged, Finish first
  • Pagani Huayra, Great Wall Reverse, Infected, Finish first, recommended car rank ??

* I probably made a tiny mistake but as you can see, Infected AI cars are super-amazingly fast, only 2 seconds behind.

Challenge 9.
  • Aston Martin V12 Vantage, Westminster Bridge, Unplugged, Beat 1:10:000, recommended car rank 1345
  • Lucra L148, Nevada, Beat 1:17:000

Challenge 10.
  • Challenge 9's Lucra L148, recommended car rank ??
  • Aston Martin One-77, Monaco, Unplugged, Finish first, recommended car rank 1666

Challenge 11.
  • Peugeot Onyx, Sky Drop, Flawless, Beat 1:16:000
  • Bentley EXP10 Speed 6, French Guiana, Unplugged, Finish first, recommended car rank 1606
screenshot of Asphalt 8 EDD - 7th tryout, challenge 11, select one to play

screenshot of Asphalt 8 EDD - 7th tryout, challenge 11, recommended car rank 1606

* I don't have choice. I have to upgrade it--Bentley, R1541 from previous R1526 (max 1111, pro 2122). And have to use booster. And next challenge is 12 ace race so it's probably okay to use booster here.
If I remember it correctly, without booster it's quite difficult--not familiar with handling this Bentley.

Challenge 12. Ace race. London, recommended car rank 1666, AI finished at 1:10:686

* With booster, I can do it.

Challenge 13.
  • Peugeot Onyx, Temple Drive, Finish first
  • Bentley EXP10 Speed 6, Tokyo Reverse, Beat 1:48:000, recommended car rank 1659

screenshot of Asphalt 8 EDD - 7th tryout, challenge 13, select one to play

screenshot of Asphalt 8 EDD - 7th tryout, challenge 13 result--failed

screenshot of Asphalt 8 EDD - 7th tryout, challenge 13 failed

* Crashed car. That's why I failed. But that's not the only reason. Suddenly traffics (AI cars) on the road makes quite difficult.

You can continue read other EDD tryout:

--- I haven't write it yet.

I tried this EDD in Android again because I have all the cars fully upgraded it except Bentley. And I don't have high-end A class car, too.
* It wasn't very different from Windows. Probably because I have very similar cars for this EDD--only difference is Peugeot Onyx.
