Asphalt 8 9th & 10th tryout of BXR Bailey Blade GT1 Enduro Double Down challenge list

I'm writing this for
  • trying to figure out the difficulty increase,
  • this can apply any EDD (Enduro Double Down) challenge because game style is quite same as previous challenge--Weber Faster One and Aston Martin One-77.
  • So you can do it well on next EDD challenge.

Based on previous EDD and other information from Asphalt 8 Wikia page
--like Enduro Double Down Challenges and Enduro Double Down/BXR Bailey Blade GT1 page.

Difficulty will increase after player collected 7,000 points and one more time after collected 20,000 points.

So if player did the double until 24 ace race in BXR Bailey Blade GT1 EDD, after collected 7,000 points player should double until 19 ace race.
And once again, if player did the double until 19 ace race, after collected 20,000 points player should double until 14 ace race. 10 ace race.
So player should prepare for the difficulty changes.
Or player should upgrade enough to do the desire ace race.

You can check out my previous tryout of BXR Bailey Blade GT1:

Bailey, ninth and tenth EDD(Enduro Double Down) invitation.

I will write down like involved car, map, requirement, ghost racer(AI car)'s finish time. And then if there has recommended car rank, I selected that challenge.
So I can figure out how difficult it became with this recommended car rank and ghost racer's finish time.

Collected points:
  • Previously collected 30,430 points.
  • 9th tryout, I failed at challenge 2. So collected 0 point.
  • 10th tryout, saved point at challenge 10. Failed at challenge 13.
  • Total: 33,650 points.

Spent tokens: 0 token.
* I'm thinking about only go for Mitsubishi Eclipse reward(40,000 points) or bit more for pro kit box. So I will not spend any token this time. Because I spent a lot in previous R&D, EDD about more than 1,300 tokens for each.

Car status:
  • BXR Bailey Blade GT1 upgrade status: R1602 (max 2222, pro 3333, elite tune up -4, +4, -4, +4) - changed elite tune up.
  • fully maxed and proed it
    • Alfa Romeo MiTo GTA
    • Ford Focus RS
    • Nissan GT-R (R35)
    • Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR-X
  • Mazda 6 upgrade status: R1054 (max 3324, pro 4353)
  • I don't own the car - upgrade status:
    • Mitsubishi Eclipse: R1312 (max 3413, pro 4243)
-- I can get this car, if I collected 40,000 points. So I upgraded it.
    • Holden Coupe 60: R1248 (max 2212, pro 2121)
    • Mazzanti Evantra: R1546 (max 2212, pro 2022)

I upgraded Bailey quite early. Because that's my maximum upgrade for Bailey.
  • Early stage--I mean before collecting 20,000 points, challenges and ace races are quite easy. So I thought upgrade a lot at early stage means I can collect more points at early and faster.
    • But as you can see my challenge list, this 1540 Bailey AI ruined this plan.
  • Previous EDD, I spent so many boosters and it was expensive--worth 365,00 credits and 800 tokens. This time, I'm trying to not to use it so I had to upgrade it.
  • Mitsubishi Eclipse reward or pro box means I had to upgrade it. And based on my previous experience, that upgrade is kind of possible to do the at least third ace race (after collected 20,000 points) with my skill and probably without booster.
  • I am trying to spend zero token this time. That means I need enough upgrade to cover my little mistake.
  • EDD in B class car and more longer days to collect points, so I thought if I upgrade a lot, I can do kind of relax playing. But it looks like wrong to expect this kind of thing from Gameloft.
I'm not saying this is very hard. But it was very and very tricky--because of one crazy fast 1540 Bailey AI (and this elite tune up thing, too). Many times, this car chase me like crazy.

Ace race isn't the problem
-- based on previous EDD and I failed 6 times on ace race but I failed 13 times on not ace race.

Weber Faster One is S class car. And Aston Martin One-77 is A class car. And this BXR Bailey Blade GT1 is B class car.
So I don't think it will be difficult like previous EDD---nope, not really. It's crazier (trickier) than previous EDD.

But it will be very difficult in very different way. This elite car system will degrade car so you have to tune up time to time. And this elite car system always ruined whole play time because sometimes 'tune up' just completely gone or sometimes it will refill only half of 'tune up bar'. And D or C class car like Mazda 6, Alfa Romeo MiTo GTA and Ford Focus RS had to compete with car rank of 1540 BXR Bailey Blade GT1. So one mistake or if player didn't fully upgraded means impossible to win.

* My guess was right. I failed two times on infected mode because of that 1540 BXR Bailey. You can read and see from Asphalt 8 crazy infected challenge in BXR Bailey Blade GT1 Enduro Double Down.
* Again my guess was right. I did apply the tune up. About 30 minutes later, I checked this 'tune up' thing. But four hours later, it was completely gone. So I had to apply 'tune up' again. That means I had to play next day.
Meanwhile, 2 out of 3 invitation at the time and one invitation was delivered within 2+ hours. So while doing sleep or work, my EDD invitation was fully charged for very and very long time. So I probably wasted one EDD invitation for waiting and again, waiting for complete the 'tune up'.
See the details from here or check fourth tryout.

But many times, I failed on not ace race. So problem will be other cars--Mazda 6, Mitsubishi Eclipse, Holden Coupe 60, Mazzanti Evantra.
 - I have Mazda 6 but I didn't upgrade it properly because I upgraded it with remains. So no free class D upgrade or i4 engine card to further upgrade.
 - Mitsubishi Eclipse, I can get this car, if I collected 40,000 points, so I upgraded it.
 - Holden Coupe 60, Mazzanti Evantra: I don't have these cars and I don't think I will buy it in the future. So I don't like waste credits and pro cards.

Of course, if I'd like win the car, I don't have choice, I had to upgrade it.

But I haven't decide whether I should win the BXR Bailey Blade GT1 or just collect 40,000 points for Mitsubishi Eclipse. Or bit more (60,000 points) for the EDD box which will probably contain FI-V8(Forced-Induction V8) engine card.

Decision wasn't made it yet. So I probably will not upgrade much. But at least, I will try to get Mitsubishi Eclipse. And probably more for the EDD box because FI-V8 is extremely rare(especially for me).

This is my decision. Quoted from 7th tryout.
Let's calculate for win the car or at least for the EDD pro box.

As you can see in the first screenshot. It was still 9 days to go. And I collected 26,370 points already.
So if I wanted to win the Bailey, I must collect 48,630 points.

48,630 points / 9 days = 5,403.33 points per day.
And 3 EDD invitation per day.
5,403.33 / 3 EDD invitation = 1,801.11 points per EDD invitation.

So saving at challenge 6 will give me 1,540 points. So I need bit more.
But at least, I can get Eclipse and possibly EDD pro box.

So I will play it quite casually. I will not concentrate on whether I must collect 60,000 (for EDD pro box) or 75,000 points.
Because my main goal--get Mitsubishi Eclipse was achieved already. And if I keep playing it, I am quite sure that I will get the EDD pro box, too.

I thought I did it before so I choose the gate drift. And failed it.

10th tryout

  • Mitsubishi Eclipse, Ipanema Showdown, Gate Drift: 10,500 points

As you can see, 9th tryout I failed Mitsubishi Eclipse's Gate Drift challenge and suddenly it kept pop out this kind of challenge.

Challenge 2.
  • Mazzanti Evantra, Tokyo, Finish third
  • Alfa Romeo MiTo GTA, The Dragon's Den, Finish first, recommended car rank 1075

Challenge 3. Ace race. Sector 8, recommended car rank 1576, AI finished at 1:08:871

Finished at 1:08:013. Only 0.8 second earlier than AI.
I changed elite tune up to -4, +4, -4, +4 rank 1602 from -4, +2, 0, +2 rank 1595. Handling became lower. So I need time to familiar with it.

Challenge 4.
  • Mitsubishi Eclipse, Alps, Gate Drift: 11,000 points
  • Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR-X, Sector 8 Reverse, Finish first, recommended car rank 1444

Challenge 7.
  • Nissan GT-R (R35), Rapido Park, Elimination, Finish first, recommended car rank 1463
  • Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR-X, Dragon Tree, Beat 1:27:000

  • Challenge 7's Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR-X, recommended car rank 1491

This isn't Mitsubishi Eclipse's Gate Drift challenge. But it still is Gate Drift challenge.

This is Beat a Race time challenge. And with my fully upgraded rank is very doable. But I don't think it will be easy with recommended rank.

Challenge 10. Ace race. Ipanema Showdown, recommended car rank 1621, AI finished at 0:59:928

With 1602 (max 2222, pro 3333, elite tune up -4, +2, 0, +2) rank BXR Bailey Blade GT1, finished at 0:58:443.

Saved 3,220 points.

Challenge 11.
  • Mazzanti Evantra, Oceanview Derby, Knock Down the Most Cars
  • Ford Focus RS, Sector 8, Unplugged, Finish first, recommended car rank 1355

* Traffics on the elimination.

Challenge 13.
  • Holden Coupe 60, The Secret Lab, Elimination, Finish first
  • Mitsubishi Eclipse, French Guiana, Flawless, Finish first, recommended car rank 1366

Recommended rank is higher so I try to go fast. So when I tried to enter that middle in the beginning, other AI crash to the wall just in front of me. I didn't have any chance to avoid it.
I probably played only 5 seconds.

You can continue read other EDD tryout: (Not write it yet)
  • Bailey, eleventh EDD invitation challenge list

You can check out my previous Aston Martin One-77 EDD challenge list in Windows:
- After second EDD invitation challenge list, I included my collected points, spent tokens and car upgrade status. Fourth to eighth EDD tryout have some screenshots of challenge.

You don't have to read whole challenge list but first, second(or third) and sixth(and fifth)--which I collected more than 20,000 points should be enough.
