Asphalt 8 2nd tryout of BXR Bailey Blade GT1 Enduro Double Down challenge list

I'm writing this for
  • trying to figure out the difficulty increase,
  • this can apply any EDD (Enduro Double Down) challenge because game style is quite same as previous challenge--Weber Faster One and Aston Martin One-77.
  • So you can do it well on next EDD challenge.

Based on previous EDD and other information from Asphalt 8 Wikia page
--like Enduro Double Down Challenges and Enduro Double Down/BXR Bailey Blade GT1 page.

Difficulty will increase after player collected 7,000 points and one more time after collected 20,000 points.

So if player did the double until 24 ace race in BXR Bailey Blade GT1 EDD, after collected 7,000 points player should double until 19 ace race.
And once again, if player did the double until 19 ace race, after collected 20,000 points player should double until 14 ace race. 10 ace race.
So player should prepare for the difficulty changes.
Or player should upgrade enough to do the desire ace race.

You can check out my previous tryout of BXR Bailey Blade GT1:

You can check out my previous Aston Martin One-77 EDD challenge list in Windows:
- After second EDD invitation challenge list, I included my collected points, spent tokens and car upgrade status. Fourth to eighth EDD tryout have some screenshots of challenge.

You don't have to read whole challenge list but first, second(or third) and sixth(and fifth)--which I collected more than 20,000 points should be enough.

Bailey, second EDD(Enduro Double Down) invitation.

I will write down like involved car, map, requirement, ghost racer(AI car)'s finish time. And then if there has recommended car rank, I selected that challenge.
So I can figure out how difficult it became with this recommended car rank and ghost racer's finish time.

Collected points:
  • Saved point at challenge 9, 14 and 19. Failed at challenge 23.
  • Total: 6,010 points.

Spent tokens:
  • Total: 0 token.
* I'm thinking about only go for Mitsubishi Eclipse reward(40,000 points) or bit more for pro kit box. So I will not spend any token this time. Because I spent a lot in previous R&D, EDD about more than 1,300 tokens.

Car status:
  • BXR Bailey Blade GT1 upgrade status: R1586 (max 2212, pro 3333)
  • fully maxed and proed it
    • Alfa Romeo MiTo GTA
    • Ford Focus RS
    • Nissan GT-R (R35)
    • Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR-X
  • Mazda 6 upgrade status: R1030 (max 3324, pro 4343)
  • I don't own the car - upgrade status:
    • Mitsubishi Eclipse: R1267 (max 3313, pro 4243)
-- I can get this car, if I collected 40,000 points. So I upgraded it.
    • Holden Coupe 60: none.
    • Mazzanti Evantra: none.

* Previous EDD--Aston Martin One-77, I spent so many boosters so I will try not to use this time. That means I have to upgrade a lot.

Ace race isn't the problem
-- based on previous EDD and I failed 6 times on ace race but I failed 13 times on not ace race.

Weber Faster One is S class car. And Aston Martin One-77 is A class car. And this BXR Bailey Blade GT1 is B class car.
So I don't think it will be difficult like previous EDD---nope, not really. It's crazier than previous EDD.

But it will be very difficult in very different way. This elite car system will degrade car so you have to tune up time to time. And this elite car system always ruined whole play time because sometimes 'tune up' just completely gone or sometimes it will refill only half of 'tune up bar'. And D or C class car like Mazda 6, Alfa Romeo MiTo GTA and Ford Focus RS had to compete with car rank of 1540 BXR Bailey Blade GT1. So one mistake or if player didn't fully upgraded means impossible to win.

But many times, I failed on not ace race. So problem will be other cars--Mazda 6, Mitsubishi Eclipse, Holden Coupe 60, Mazzanti Evantra.
 - I have Mazda 6 but I didn't upgrade it properly because I upgraded it with remains. So no free class D upgrade or i4 engine card to further upgrade.
 - Mitsubishi Eclipse, I can get this car, if I collected 40,000 points, so I upgraded it.
 - Holden Coupe 60, Mazzanti Evantra: I don't have these cars and I don't think I will buy it in the future. So I don't like waste credits and pro cards.

Of course, if I'd like win the car, I don't have choice, I had to upgrade it.

But I haven't decide whether I should win the BXR Bailey Blade GT1 or just collect 40,000 points for Mitsubishi Eclipse. Or bit more (60,000 points) for the EDD box which will probably contain FI-V8(Forced-Induction V8) engine card.

Decision wasn't made it yet. So I probably will not upgrade much.

Challenge 1.
  • Ford Focus RS, Westminster Bridge, Finish third, recommended car rank 1012
  • BXR Bailey Blade GT1, Wall Ascent, Elimination, Finish third

Challenge 2.
  • Mazda 6, Test Site: Omega, Elimination, Finish third, recommended car rank 643
  • Alfa Romeo MiTo GTA, Oceanview Derby, Finish race

Challenge 3. Ace race. Barcelona, recommended car rank 1540, AI finished at 1:19:464

With 1598-ish (max 2212, pro 3333) rank BXR Bailey Blade GT1 and tune up (-4, +4, -4, +4), finished at 1:07:419.

screenshot of Asphalt8 Bailey EDD 2nd tryout, after challenge 3, degraded
As you can see, Bailey already degraded. Only played it for first tryout's challenge 6 and 10.
So if I play the car for three times(many times, player probably can play four times), I had to wait for 2 hours for 'tune up'. Or you have to pay around 200 tokens which is worth more than 1.99 us dollars.

When I started EDD, this BXR Bailey Blade GT1 already degraded. So I had to 2,500 credits to tune up and wait for 2 hours.
And played it three times, it's already degraded again. So I had to pay 2,500 credits again and wait for 2 hours again.

Challenge 4.
  • Mazda 6, Ipanema Showdown, Finish race, recommended car rank 690
  • Ford Focus RS, Dragon Tree, Knock Down the Most Cars

* Requirement is just 'Finish race' but as you can, this 1540 rank of Bailey chase me like crazy.

Challenge 5.
  • BXR Bailey Blade GT1, Tokyo Reverse, Elimination, Finish third
  • Alfa Romeo MiTo GTA, Classified, Elimination, Finish third, recommended car rank 818

Challenge 6. Ace race. London, recommended car rank 1548, AI finished at 1:21:048

screenshot of Asphalt8 Bailey EDD 2nd tryout, before challenge 6 screen
screenshot of Asphalt8 Bailey EDD 2nd tryout, challenge 6 waiting for tune up

I can't play it because of elite car's tune up thing.
So I had to wait for 1 hour 42 minutes.

When I tried challenge 3 with BXR Bailey Blade GT1 which I tuned up (-4, +4, -4, +4), I felt that it was very unstable. So I thought that it might be too low on handling stat.
So I tuned up like this:
screenshot of Asphalt8 Bailey EDD 2nd tryout, Bailey Elite Mapping-tuning
I think something like -4, +2, 0, +2--rank of 1593.

Challenge 7.
  • Nissan GT-R (R35), Highland View, Infected, Finish first, recommended car rank 1296
  • Mazda 6, Dubai, Flawless, No Wrecks
screenshot of Asphalt8 Bailey EDD 2nd tryout, challenge 7 select one to play
screenshot of Asphalt8 Bailey EDD 2nd tryout, challenge 7 result

* I had to compete with rank 1540 of BXR Bailey Blade GT1. But it was quite okay because Nissan GT-R (R35) is B class car and max rank is 1463. So it's quite better than D or C class car.
But if player couldn't upgrade it much, that will not be easy, I guess.

Challenge 8.
  • Challenge 7's Mazda 6
  • Alfa Romeo MiTo GTA, Buddha's Teachings, Unplugged, Flat Spins: 2, recommended car rank 861

Challenge 10. Ace race. Oceanview Derby, recommended car rank 1560, AI finished at 1:08:052

With 1593 (max 2212, pro 3333, elite tune up for -4, +2, 0, +2) rank BXR Bailey Blade GT1, finished at 1:03:564--crashed one time.

Previous--first tryout, I failed at challenge 13 so I had to save the point--3,220 points.

  • Mazda 6, Sky Drop, Elimination, Finish first
  • Nissan GT-R (R35), Monaco Reverse, Elimination, Finish first, recommended car rank 1313
screenshot of Asphalt8 Bailey EDD 2nd tryout, challenge 13 select one to play

* With 1593 (max 2212, pro 3333, elite tune up for -4, +2, 0, +2) rank BXR Bailey Blade GT1, finished at 1:07:485.
I felt that AI was very fast rank of 1576. So it will be tough. One little mistake, I will lose.

screenshot of Asphalt8 Bailey EDD 2nd tryout, after challenge 14
Again, I chose 'save now'--so collected 990 points.

Challenge 15.
  • Ford Focus RS, The Rose of the Desert, Elimination, Finish first
  • Mazda 6, Temple Drive, Unplugged, Beat 1:39:000, recommended car rank 853
screenshot of Asphalt8 Bailey EDD 2nd tryout, challenge 15 select one to play

* I tried 'Quick Solo Race' and I can finish around 1:27:xxx-ish (with didn't take bottle to make like unplugged) so I choose Mazda 6.

screenshot of Asphalt8 Bailey EDD 2nd tryout, challenge 15 result
* Traffics on the road. And big crash party in first ramp so I crashed. So it will not be easy.
And that 1540 rank of BXR Bailey Blade GT1 will make trouble.

Challenge 16.
  • Nissan GT-R (R35), Sector 8, Finish first
  • Challenge 15's Ford Focus RS, recommended car rank 1176

* With 1593 (max 2212, pro 3333, elite tune up for -4, +2, 0, +2) rank BXR Bailey Blade GT1, finished at 1:09:498.
It will be very tough with this rank because I played quite well--just little mistake.

screenshot of Asphalt8 Bailey EDD 2nd tryout, after challenge 19
Again, I saved the 1,800 points.

Challenge 20.
  • Mazda 6, Nevada, Flawless, Finish first, recommended car rank 969
  • BXR Bailey Blade GT1, Westminster Bridge, Finish first

screenshot of Asphalt8 Bailey EDD 2nd tryout, challenge 20 result
* When I tried to go very big curve--after big ramp in the big bridge, BXR Bailey Blade GT1 hit me very hard. And this Bailey chased me like crazy before that curve.

Challenge 21.
  • Ford Focus RS, Dubai Reverse, Elimination, Finish first, recommended car rank 1012
  • Nissan GT-R (R35), Iceland, Unplugged, Finish first
screenshot of Asphalt8 Bailey EDD 2nd tryout, challenge 21 select one to play
* Traffics on the Elimination. Crashed about three times. But luckily I made that shortcut ramp.

Challenge 22.
  • Mitsubishi Eclipse, Great Wall Reverse, Finish first, recommended car rank 1167
  • Alfa Romeo MiTo GTA, Barcelona, Infected, Finish first

  • Challenge 20's BXR Bailey Blade GT1
  • Challenge 22's Alfa Romeo MiTo GTA, recommended car rank 1075
screenshot of Asphalt8 Bailey EDD 2nd tryout, challenge 23 select one to play

I couldn't try BXR Bailey Blade GT1 because of elite tune up thing.
So I had to choose Alfa Romeo MiTO GTA infected. And...

screenshot of Asphalt8 Bailey EDD 2nd tryout, challenge 23 failed-pick

Failed it.
Because this crazy fast 1540 rank of BXR Bailey Blade GT1. I picked up the infection in the wrong timing but I didn't have much choice.

I recorded video of it and I will upload it to youtube and later I will post about it.

P.S. Here is the video that how I failed:

As you can see in the video, this 1540 rank of BXR Bailey Blade GT1 go crazy fast. This Bailey came from different route so I couldn't crash or do something about it.

* This EDD will be crazy hard. Because player had to compete with 1540 rank of BXR Bailey Blade GT1 with their D, C class car--not even 1000 rank. And this rubbish elite car's 'tune up' thing make things very complicated--for example, if player forgot to 'tune up', player wasted a lot of time waiting complete 'tune up', sometimes Gameloft's Asphalt 8 server will remove user's 'tune up'.

** One good thing is that it will not take so much time to play because ace race is shorter than previous Weber Faster One and Aston Martin One-77, I think.

You can continue read other EDD tryout:
Will write it soon.
