Asphalt 8 - Don't do the car upgrade for Donkervoort D8 GTO Cup, TLE(Time-Limted Event)

I think this is the first time(??) in TLE that can do the upgrade without own the car.

screenshot of Asphlat 8's Donkervoort D8 GTO Cup, TLE - upgrade is available

Of course, if you are going to buy the car, upgrade it for the cup wasn't bad idea. But you don't know anything about the car such as
  • car price--whether you can afford to buy it or not
  • whether car can do well in TLE or MP
  • good for farming
  • good rewards in mastery
  • good for the collections
If you don't know anything about this, how sure you will buy it, right?

Possible car price and upgrade price:

According to the Asphalt 8's Wikia Donkervoort D8 GTO page:
it will cost 325,000 credits or 2,000 tokens. 1,967,660 credits or 13,910 tokens to max out.
And Donkervoort D8 GTO's upgrade page:

  • 13 of D Tires, Suspension, Drivetrain and Exhaust cards
  • 14 of Initial Tech and Early Tech cards
  • 8 of i5 Engine cards
  • with around 660,000+ credits

to pro the car.

This probably will be correct information but it can't be sure. Because Gameloft didn't officially release the information yet.

Impossible to get race reward (Extra Tank), even if you fully upgraded car.

screenshot of Asphlat 8's Donkervoort D8 GTO Cup, TLE
I also thought about get the race reward--Extra Tank (worth 200 tokens).
But question is can I finish within 1:17:00?

One most problem is that you can't actually fully upgraded it because very recently i5 Engine card started to drop. So most of player didn't even see the i5 engine card, I guess.

screenshot of Asphlat 8's Donkervoort D8 GTO Cup, TLE Leaderboard Top 100 in Windows
So here is the TLE Leaderboard top 100 in Windows.

Car rank 1,308 with triple booster can achieve 1:17:000.
And according to the Donkervoort D8 GTO's performance stats page, car rank of max out is 1251.
Maximum rank is 1365 which you can see in the first picture.

And those top 100 players are pro player.
So even if you upgraded like 1308, it is very hard to achieve 1:17:000. Of course, if you are pro-ish player, you probably can.

So don't fall for it.
Don't wasting your credits, tokens and cards.

-----
At first, I also thought that 'Tuning'(upgrade the car) is possible because most of time, it was grayed out so it can't clickable. I thought this car is free give away so people can freely upgraded it. But it wasn't that...
And then that Extra Tank. Because sometimes, race reward is quite easy to do than top 1,000.

If you are trying to get 100 tokens reward, that also you have to seriously thinking about it.

This is reply comment in Asphalt 8's Wikia Donkervoort D8 GTO page. So I will just copy it.

-----------
Yes, top 2,000 for the 100 tokens are good idea.. But that also you have to think about it.
Now I'm doing EDD so I am quite frequently using the Extra Tank. So I did the cup with triple booster--I usually go with double booster so mostly without ET.
I made 1:29:661 which 2,402 position in Windows. Yesterday, I was like 1,700-ish position. And 2 or 3 hours ago, my position was like 2,000. (2 hours but dropped 400+ positions)
So now so many people thinking about same thing as you. That means top 2,000 will be very tough.
Of course, if you have skills--possibly top 1,000-ish skills, you can upgrade it.

But if you like me---top 2,000-3,000-ish skills, you should better give up.
I'm only talking about in Windows. I don't know anything about Andorid or iOS.

Asphalt 8: It became useless R&D rewards after Rio update

I've got this R&D Basic Kit Box reward from Mercedes-AMG C 63 Coupe Touring Car 2014 R&D test 39.

And problem is this car's engine card was changed after Rio update in Windows(and iOS, too)--to V8 engine from V6 engine. I already have enough A cards so only relevant to me is engine and mid-tech card.
So R&D kit box rewards still gave me the V6 engine which I can't use it.

I can't upgrade the car means hard to do Lab 4's tests in R&D.

Gameloft always bring the big problem in every updates, it seems.

Gameloft didn't change the reward of Kit Box. So now I've got V6 engine cards from R&D rewards. But I can't upgrade the car.

They just changed the thing--especially very important card, without thinking about it.

Very good strategy to make people to spend money on the car. Not to mention recent network errors.

Gameloft has some insignificant rules for Asphlat 8....

Last year or before last year, I've been played Asphalt 8: Airborne quite seriously.
That's why I even bought Google Nexus Player.

Asphalt 8: Airborne, played in 27 inch led monitor (hdmi) which connected to Nexus Player
with wired Xbox360 game controller
And during that time, I did write something in Wikia blog about the Asphalt 8 game--User blog: Visually in Wikia.

And they are still doing same thing so I have to keep it here.

You can read recent comment from Asphalt 8: Airborne - Asphalt Wiki - Wikia page
and one hot discussion topic is--Asphalt 8: Airborne is dead.
You will read many people complaining about the extremely expensive car price, max out and pro-ing price.

Originally I wrote here: Gameloft has some insignificant rule for.... @ August 31, 2015

---
Someone asked "Why are all the new cars faster than the old ones?" in Gameloft's forum.

So I replied

I think new car(or update) problem come from something else.

I don't know why. But GL has some insignificant rules for new car which is it must be extremely expensive to buy and to maxing and proing(??) the car.

That's the reason all new car must be better than old car, I think.

Gameloft has some insignificant rules for new car must be extremely expensive to buy, to max out and pro the car.

People are saying that mastery challenge can easily farm credits so it's not a big deal.

But 1+ or 2+ millions credits(buy, max out and pro) for D class car is nothing? I didn't think so.

---
Someone commented that player can get free (D or C class) upgrades from win streak which involves continuously winning in Multiplayer.

But in reality, (of course, except pro racer who probably easily obtain win streak) 20 upgrades to save a million (or half million) credits that means 20 multiply by 9 win streaks(D class would be 7). 180 games(D class would be 140 games) that you have to continuously win.

And unfortunately, you can't expect all the win streak will give you the C upgrade (or D upgrade). Because that randomness sometimes go crazy--like keep give you the 1x Nitro Starter. That makes 200+ games. Possibly 250+ games continuously win--I mean within 3rd place.

And if you are bump with triple booster, you will loose win streak easily. So sometimes, you have to do it all over again.

Of course, you can level up cheaper one with credits and only expensive one to get free C (or D) upgrade.

But as you can see, it takes so much effort to do the kept winning. And not many people can win all the time(of course, you can race with triple booster but that's painfully expensive especially extra tank.)

P.S. This is what happens when multinational company trying to make money from pretending to 'free game' which is hot trend in Andorid and iPhone.
This 'free app' (especially pretending one) business is quite big issue.
I'm not sure when will I talk about it. But I will write.....someday.

You are glad to limit your imagination!?

You shouldn't limit your imagination. But you are happy to limit your imagination to 3.5 to 10 inch iPhone, smartphone or tabletPC screen.

Many gadget lovers are living in their own small world.

What a ridiculous idea. If I'm not doing in wedding photography, I am not a professional photographer?

Get out of your narrow-minded world.
He or she was talking like looking down photographers who don't use mention the product. People use product their needs, not by your choice.

No wonder there has movie call the 'The Matrix'.

Unfortunate happen in human society. So I should say #farewell to the #isoHunt. http://bit.ly/16A4wcR (this link is wikipedia article of isoHunt) #p2pSearchEngine #BitTorrent

Why? Because Knowledge became more powerful than ever in digital age which develop more and more society divided issues. #moneymakesmoney

Possibilities of revert to old Nokia.

It's pointless to saying these kind of things now. But I will just write it for record. So I will just write some steps only, not details.

Let people make aware of Nokia was back.

Workers in the company sue Board-of-directors and Stephen Elop and others who intentionally plan to sell Nokia (with bargain price, more specifically a penny).

Workers didn't plan to join Microsoft, they were joined for Nokia which means include Symbian.

Actually, it wasn't important step but this can make people to aware about the Nokia.

Other stunt which related to next step, is Nokia should trying to buy HTC.

I will explain why.

Nokia should make Symbian handset. But not only that.

Nokia should make devices for Symbian and Meego again. And Android, too.

But that's not all. Even make Windows phone. Why not?

HTC doing that. Samsung doing that. LG doing that. So why not?

And Symbian and Meego is open source and open platform(I know there has some issues but still..) and Android is open source and open platform.

So what's the problem with make all the open platform, right?

And one good thing is that Stephen Elop made Nokia to OEM Nokia manufacturer–This is why Microsoft can buy Nokia for a penny. You can read details here: Conspiracy is just conspiracy. Are you sure? @ September 6, 2019

So Nokia has really advantage for this step.

Nokia already became OEM manufacturer so why not buy other similar company like HTC, right?

And if Nokia tries to buy HTC, people will aware that Nokia is back.

Of course, meanwhile Nokia should support Symbian and Meego to grow.

Symbian and Meego are open platform so they should open for other handset maker.

Symbian did that last time but Nokia was dominated whole Symbian market so Symbian doesn't need other handset maker.

Now it changed everything. So this is the time that Symbian and Meego can go their own and open the platform to all the handset maker.

Whether you believe it or not. Symbian(and Meego) still has their own strength.

I wrote this article about three years ago. And I've played with newer version of Android.

And it reminds me that I can't use Android phone as my primary phone after two years of upgraded Android OS. Because what I've mention in the article.

My phone is Nokia N8 and I didn't upgrad it to Belle which is newer version OS because I am satisfying with not-so-newer-OS.

You can read it here: Nokia could do far better with their customer. (Part 1 of ..) @ February 12, 2011

This is a good thing to customers, too. Because people can have variety of choices for open platform.

Diversity is a good thing in human society. That's what I believe.

I know…

there has so many issues and it's too late.

I can see Android platform has huge potential but interesting thing is Symbian and Meego, too.

Because I believe majority of people can't be a geek. And even if it did, it doesn't matter because people don't want to wasting time playing with the phone.

P.S. Nokia released Android phone with Lumia 520 hardware.

I don't want to lose all my data when Android phone's pattern was locked with no internet connection.

I didn't use this phone for a while so I have forgotten the pattern. So I was trying to remember it but failed several times.
And I've got this message.
'Too many pattern attempts' in Android phone. Because I totally forgot the pattern.
'Too many pattern attempts' in Android phone. Because I totally forgot the pattern.

And I googled it and I found the way but I turned off the internet so I can't unlock it with my google account.

So I googled it again and I found the way which requires factory reset. But problem is factory reset means erase all my data which I don't like to do.

No internet connection. I can't turn wifi on when Android gadget's pattern was locked.

And finally I found the way that doesn't need to factory reset.

Here is the article:

Unlock an Android Device without Internet Access – Using ADB commands @ February 28, 2013 by chethakau

Here is what I tweeted about it:

#Unlock an #Android Device without Internet Access – Using #ADB commands http://bit.ly/16TiRRq by chethakau

I can do factory reset but don't want to lose all my data. Problem is phone's wifi was off and without sim card so no internet connection.
6:18 PM – 23 Sep 13

There has some requirements for to do these steps so you should read that article before do it.

Anyway, now I can use my phone again so thank you, chethakau.

P.S. My previous blog is in wordpress https://ungeekiness.wordpress.com/2013/09/27/i-dont-want-to-lose-all-my-data-when-android-phones-pattern-was-locked-with-no-internet-connection/ but I have to move to here. So I'm sorry about the confusion.

Why Google Chromebook doesn't much attract?

I am using the catch website which can keep personal memos and notes. Mostly, I am using this app from Android phone.

And I just thought that this app might have Chrome browser's app so I can make notes without internet connection, I thought.

This is a screen shot of catch app in Google Chrome's webstore.

What this app does is just open the website of catch. Nothing more.

So this is an app or just a bookmark?

I know some people might need bookmark as app but if Chromebook can't use with internet connection, how can you sell the product to the country with not-so-good internet connection and people who living in outside city-I don't think most country has very good internet infrastructure in countryside.

Oh, I forgot to mention that not only catch app did this.

I have seen a number of apps did this, too. And even google apps.

Anyway, that's why I wrote review with this comment:
Nowadays, bookmark became app. How clever!

Conspiracy is just conspiracy. Are you sure?

This is proving fact for what I wrote a few years back at http://aboutnokia.tumblr.com/

Microsoft bought Nokia with €5.44 billion which some people-who like Symbian and some of Finnish people-already guessed this will happen when the formal Microsoft CEO, Stephen Elop joined company.

Created Equal: A Study of Social and Cultural Clashes by Mark Laita – interesting idea but…

I've got news from Black+White photography facebook page. Here is their introduction:

Exploring the differences and clashes between social groups, Mark Laita's book Born Equal presents a series of thought provoking diptychs: http://ow.ly/lxhE5

Original post is this: Created Equal: A Study of Social and Cultural Clashes by Mark Laita @ May 6, 2013 3:55pm by IEVA

I think it was very interesting idea. Of course, he took photos very nicely and some of the photos looked like came from real world.
But when I look at the some of the photos, I felt it doesn't look like real. Or I think someone coordinate the clothes and props. Or he purposefully choose look very ugly(or too nice) one for comparison's sake.
It was just how I feel. It doesn't mean I was right.

This is the reason internet is the future and it will bring equality to human society.

Public domain, open source project, creative commons, etc. These kind of things I will talk about here, too.

That's what I believe.

your only limitation is imagination, not equipment. by Bruce Barnbaum

"Let's proceed with the assumption that your only limitation is imagination, not equipment."
quote from the book "The Art of Photography: An Approach to Personal Expression" by Bruce Barnbaum

I know he was trying to explain about how light will affect a photograph so what I am saying here isn't really against what he says.

"Your only limitation is imagination." That is truth. So it doesn't need any assumption.

So I googled with that sentence and I can find so many quotes there. If you think that equipment need to assumption, you have to think about it again.

Think about this: What is equipment? It's a tool. So what you can do with a tool? Yes, you can use it for whatever you desire. So how can I use the tool is my problem. Isn't it?

So it doesn't need any assumption. You can just say "Let's remember that your only limitation is imagination, not equipment."

p.s. I thought about this to my other blog thinking differently but I changed my mind. Because so many people believe (not just think) that equipment or tool matters for their creativity and artistic skills. This is the thing that I will write about here.

How that place was beautiful? I can't see it.

It could be sarcasm but I don't see how that place was beautiful.

Mobypicture user Ancilla Tilia uploaded photo with this: Our shooting location Oudewater is so beautiful! http://moby.to/sjgy4a

I can imagine that house looked pretty but I have absolutely no idea how beautiful that was. Because I've never been there.

Because it doesn't have any natural and real color in it.

So I had to googling about it: oudewater – google image.

And I found this photo which was almost same site: Havenstraat, Oudewater by JohanBakker

I couldn't know why http://moby.to/sjgy4a is beautiful until I found a real photo of place http://static.panoramio.com/photos/original/2494507.jpg.
* This old link doesn't work but you can simply find wikipedia's photo from here.

Can't you see the problem with iPhone?

Thursday, April 14, 2011

This is the reason why I liked Nokia but….

Symbian is open platform and Nokia always trying to help local community especially developing countries. And there has so many other reason that why I like Nokia.

For example, Nokia cares about environment like this Putting a ban on conflict metals @ August 26, 2010 by Saara and was supporting this kind of event Conspiracy For Good.

But Nokia gave up the Symbian platform.

But Nokia threw away the Symbian platform. And it seems to me that Nokia strategic changed to go after money only. It calls 'profit'.

So I was not interested in Nokia phone anymore.

It's time to move on.

So I have to choose other platform from WebOS, Android or Meego because I am not interested in closed platform like iPhone or Window Phone 7.

What choice do I have? I thought about go for Meego (or WebOS) platform but it wasn't ready yet. So I choose other open platform-Android.

So I have bought Milestone smartphone and Enspert's Identity Tab E201 which was Android tablet.

So I'll probably talk about the Android vs. Symbian later on.

Rome was just made up within one day?

It was an issue so I thought about to write at my tumblr What really Nokia need.
But this post's main theme was important for this blog, too. So I will write it here.

Desarrolladores-meego
Image via Wikipedia

There have too many speculation about MeeGo. Why?

MeeGo was merge project from Nokia's Maemo project and Intel's Moblin project. I know it was already progress a lots but it still need a lot of time.
And open source project can't just get good result like FireFox project or OpenOffice project within one year. It will take much of time.

I found that OpenOffice project was starting around July 2000 which Sun's StarOffice source code was released. So how long does it take to the commercial stage?

MeeGo was starting around in this February or later. MeeGo's welcome post was Welcome to MeeGo @ February 15, 2010 by Imad.
So it was just 6 or 7 month in development and people are crying and crying (especially who?) about Nokia wasn't release the MeeGo device.

So this very reason Nokia will not officially support MeeGo to N900 because commercial device can't support to "Beta stage's operating system". It's that simple.

MeeGo's official blog was posted this: MeeGo calling – on N900 @ October 13, 2010 by Harri Hakulinen.
I haven't read whole thing but I noticed that MeeGo was open source project so if many people join and want to do something, MeeGo will support it. Because that's what open source is all about.
But I don't think people notice about it. That's why some people thought that MeeGo official blog says MeeGo will support N900 which means Nokia must support officially N900 on MeeGo.

So some people asked to Nokia whether Nokia N900 will support MeeGo.

Here is what I've got tweet from @thenokiablog
UPDATED: Nokia N900 dual boot will not be an option to consumers http://nokb.ly/wz
about 20 hours ago via Echofon

That tweet's link is this: Nokia N900 PR 1.3 Update Coming Soon With Dual Boot to Meego @ October 13, 2010 by Mark Guim

Don't confuse about this, please.

I am not saying it was people's fault. I am saying Nokia didn't properly telling to the people about MeeGo. That's what this all kind of rubbish speculation was came out.

What if Nokia was telling people like this "commercial product can't sell with Beta Stage of Operating System like MeeGo" and other things like "open source project usually takes a time for out of beta stage".
Don't you think people will understand better?

Talk about originality of design. It proves how biased mobile tech web and geeks were.

American-based company Apple's Macbook Pro and Nokia N9

Engadget's article Nokia N9: the MacBook Pro Phone @ August 19, 2010 by Thomas Ricker said

What was it that Anssi Vanjoki said? Something like, "If there is something good in the world then we copy with pride."

And most of the people commented about Nokia's copy of design. It was not just a few people because that article has 217 comments.

Here is the truth about copy of design.
Photo taken from Dear Engadget, who is copying who? [updated] @ August 19, 2010 by Engadget Sucks

Seriously. Who is copying who?

So if they were the gadget expert(That is why they were the writer of Engadget, right?), they must know about Sony Vaio notebook computer. But they simply dismiss it.
Or they don't know anything about gadget?

American-based company Motorola's Flipout and Nokia Twist

In contrast, Motorola almost copy the design from Nokia but nobody talks about it.

I've got news from @bperry
amazing how similar the AT&T Motorola Flipout http://bit.ly/9Dcu6u looks to the VZW Nokia Twist http://bit.ly/9hrh7W

photo taken from Nokia 7705 Twist launched Stateside on Verizon (photo gallery) @ September 10, 2009 By Mike

Engadget's readers really concern about originality of design but strangely they don't even bother about it. Why?

Does Nokia really know their strength?

When I know about Nokia N8 has 2 microphones, I was surprised that Nokia really knows about what is really important in video recording.

Because when I researched about video podcast for digital video camcorder, number one advice is that must get the good audio. That’s what all they saying because most of device’s video quality is good enough for web video.

This is Nokia N8 vs iPhone 4 video test which you will recognize about audio.

[via BesteProduct]

Nokia N8's audio makes totally different so audio makes exceptional. But does Nokia know about this?

Nokia made totally awesome product but marketing department doesn’t know what to do with it?
